How I Stay Organized!

Friday, August 3, 2012

I'm bringing back my very first post! LOL  It's about a project that my husband and I worked on together a couple of years ago.  We call it the BRAIN and we use it every.single.day!  It really is a wonderful tool that helps keep our family organized throughout the busy days while school is in session.  Not to mention it's pretty cheap and EZ to make!

We used a dry erase calendar that we ordered from The Container Store, which makes it so easy to change from month to month.

We also used cork board squares that we purchased at Home Depot which allows us to pin up a calendar for the following month, lunch schedules, athletic schedules, envelopes for allowance, chore list and my kids artwork.  We've been using this baby now for two years and I LOVE it!  It hangs right off the kitchen in the hallway that leads to the mudroom.

Would you like to see the supply list, dimensions and how we put it together?  Yay!  I hoped you say that...click HERE!

  3. I have one that's almost identical to this that I purchased at Gordman's. I love it! My first one like it fell and broke and I immediately went out to get another one because we use it SOO much!

  4. Awesome, I love this! I have a great whiteboard calendar that I use for a ton of things, but it would be so much better if it had some cork board too! Stopping by from Skip To My Lou :-)

  5. I use something very similar to this, but on a much smaller scale. I need to convince my husband that we need a bigger version ;) Love it!

  6. I'm visiting from the Homemaker on a Dime party. I LOVE your hallway calendar project. I have a fairly large calendar on the side of the fridge, but BIGGER is always better when it comes to calendars for families, right? Now following you. :)
