We bought this little beauty on Craigslist last summer.

Painted it and put it in our youngest daughter's room.

I think she is going to be like me...likes to change things often. Ha!


We are in the process of "shopping Pinterest" to get idea's of what to do to her room.  We know that this little desk is going to go, so it needs a little update and off to the Depot it'll go!


Here's what we did to it...

A new coat of RED and a little typography on top.

 Painted the original hardware.

And here it is all finished.

FRENCH DRESSER

This old dresser was in pretty grody shape when I got it.  But I instantly fell in love with the serpentine front and knew I had to do something with it.

I stripped the top completely and gave the rest of it a good sanding plus a fresh coat of antique white paint.

 At this point our youngest daughter wanted it and it went into her room for a little while.  Now, she is ready for something new and it was time for this one to go.  Since it was going to be going to the Depot we decided it needed something more.

The top was a graphic I found over at the Graphic's Fairy.

I have no idea what it means.  I tried Google translate but didn't have much luck.  If you know or have an idea please share.

DREAMING

I like to change things in our home a lot!  My husband complains that he's afraid to walk around the house in the dark because I might've moved some furniture around during the day and he'll wind up killing himself.  Right now my mind is on our youngest daughter's room.  We've been pinterest shopping and gathering some idea's that I thought I would share with y'all.  So here's what we've got so far...

She really loves this built in and I do too.  The hubs it up for it, but if this is the one we choose we want to lay new carpet first.  And I believe we would change the colors.

 I'm sure we are going to make lots of throw pillows to pile on the bed! I love the painted trash can idea for a clothes hamper and these painted cookie sheets turned magnetic boards - aren't they fun?

I love these quotes and would love to work these in somewhere...

Plus she definitely wants to get rid of her ceiling fan and get a chandy.  Right now, we're just shopping for idea's.  The carpet quote was waaay higher than we thought it would be so we are trying to decide whether to go ahead and lay wood floors or move forward with the carpet.  I'll keep ya updated on our slooowww progress.

New LINKY FOLLOWERS Tool

There's a new way to follow blogs, did you hear about it?

 If you blog on something other than blogger then the rumor is that you will be losing your GFC {Google Friend Connect} as of March 1st.  The other rumor is that Google also plans to discontinue GFC for blogger in the near future.  What?!  Picnik is going soon & now GFC is to go as well.  I don't like it I tell you, not at all!

Regardless of whether we like it or not we have to roll with it and LINKY FOLLOWERS is the way to go.  This new tool will allow even non-bloggers to keep up with our blogs, gives us a place to view the blogs we follow, group blogs, makes it easier to follow back, and it's FREE!
