* CREATING A TIMELINE PICTURE FOR FACEBOOK *

Have you doodled yet with PicMonkey?  I was so worried to lose Picnik, but now I've totally fallen in love with this new editing website called PicMonkey.

I put this collage together in about 5 minutes.  Cool, huh.  Here's the first one I did.

 Although, once it loaded the smaller FB profile picture was in the way & cutting into my blog title so I had to redo it.  No biggie -- turns out I like the second one better.
 And the profile pic hides that little brown box I added right there on the railing that is covering up the year & place this photo was taken.  I wanted that for my photo book for the fam, but didn't really think everyone else needed to know. Ha!

Here's one I did for my little shop Facebook page.

Like I said...I did these in about 5 minutes each.  I love playing around & editing, plus the new collage feature is pretty darn cool.  I'm sure I'll change this lotsa times.

Have you doodled around here yet?   I'm still learning new stuff and it's so fun!  Gotta any tips?  Share 'em! :)

Plus, I'd love for you to check out my shop page or "like" Mango Seed Market on FB if you haven't already.  I'm always add'n new stuff.  Thanks!

New LINKY FOLLOWERS Tool

Monday, February 6, 2012

There's a new way to follow blogs, did you hear about it?
 If you blog on something other than blogger then the rumor is that you will be losing your GFC {Google Friend Connect} as of March 1st.  The other rumor is that Google also plans to discontinue GFC for blogger in the near future.  What?!  Picnik is going soon & now GFC is to go as well.  I don't like it I tell you, not at all!

Regardless of whether we like it or not we have to roll with it and LINKY FOLLOWERS is the way to go.  This new tool will allow even non-bloggers to keep up with our blogs, gives us a place to view the blogs we follow, group blogs, makes it easier to follow back, and it's FREE!

Click here to sign up for your FREE account.

I would love for you to follow me via LINKY FOLLOWERS even if you already follow me via Google Friend Connect.

Did you click to FOLLOW ME?  I hope so -- I love you guys and enjoy sharing with all of you.  I'll be checking regularly to *FOLLOW BACK* so we can stay in touch!

XOXO

PS -- Don't forget the DO IT YA SELF MONDAY link party that is up & running!

Craigslist TIP!

Monday, January 30, 2012

I'm sure you all love searching Craigslist for vintage pieces, I know I do.  I've definitely noticed in our neck of the woods that the early bird gets the vintage furniture.  I have to work so I cannot browse to see what's available until mid afternoon or late evening.  By that time, all the good stuff is sayonara!
 Losing out on great vintage pieces may not have to be the case anymoreI was waiting for an appointment this morning and was browsing craigslist on my phone and came across "alerts" through google.  It appears that you can get email alerts from HeyCraig.
Did anybody else already know this?  Is it new?  Old?  It's new to me so I'm sharing!
 All you need to do is enter what your looking for, your email address and what city you are looking in then click Yoink!  Your all set...I think.  I just set mine up and immediately got emails.  Hopefully it will continue to be this easy.  I was so excited I had to share with you guys.  Go here to set up your HeyCraig alerts.

Oh yeah, please do not do this if you live near me! LOL  I'm hoping this will help me get some good deals!

AND while your here you should check out the link party that is going on right now!  Link up & browse people. {wink!}

A Tip...

Do you have a jacuzzi tub?

 I found a tip on cleaning your jets via Pinterest and wondered if it really worked to keep all the black junk from sticking to the inside of your lines and finding their way into the bath water.

It works, it's easy & it's inexpensive.  Here's how I did it.

You will need:
Bleach
Cascade {powder}

1.  Fill your tub {past the jets} with HOT water, 1 cup bleach and 1 tablespoon of Cascade.  Put this in as your tub is filling up.

2. After your jacuzzi is full, turn on the jets for 15 minutes.  After the 15 minutes, I turned off the jets so I could clean around the nozzles.  I used a Q-tip to get all the way around them.

3.  Turn it off and drain your water.  Rinse out the tub.

4.  Fill your jacuzzi tub up again {just past the jets} with COLD water.  After your tub is full, let it run again for 15 minutes.  This will give your lines a good rinse.

5.  Let it drain and rinse out your tub.

This really works!  I did this a couple of weeks ago and ran the jacuzzi today.  NO BLACK SCUM floating in the water!  Yay!  I didn't know how easy it was to clean out the lines until I found this tip on Pinterest so I thought I'd share it with all of you!
